Labs and Equipment

The Computer Science department maintains a set of labs and spaces for teaching, learning, and research. Eligible faculty, staff, and students can also checkout a limited set of devices and equipment for research and instructional purposes.

The Computer Science department maintains the following open computing labs:

  • 25 Park Place, 7th Floor
  • Computer Science Tutoring, STEM Center, Sports Arena

These locations are open for all Computer Science undergraduate and graduate students for teaching and learning. The department also manages the following instructional classrooms:

  • Classroom South 400
  • Langdale Hall 876
  • 55 Park Place, Room 260

Use of the open labs and classrooms are subject to the Georgie State University technology policy. Misuse of department or university resources will result in disciplinary action.

The Computer Science department allows for the checkout of specialty equipment and technology for teaching, learning, and research. This service is offered to a limited scope of eligible faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students within the Computer Science department.

The Computer Science department has the ability to display images, short videos, and other digital media on the Computer Science reception television. Additionally, content can be broadcast to the digital signage screens around the university. This service is offered to a limited scope of eligible faculty and staff within the Computer Science department.
